Rating System
Most sites use numbers or stars or some other lame rating system for albums, we however decided to take a more metal approach - Flaming Skulls. The following describes each rating level:
| Beware | No
redeeming qualities whatsoever, not a single good riff, nothing, not even
good artwork. Even if it had killer artwork, it's not salvageable. Avoid
at all costs or you'll have buyer's remorse in the morning. You have been
warned. |
|
| Collectors | As
a whole, a sub-par album by all standards - only die hard collectors need
venture here. You likely can't listen to the entire album before retiring
it to the shelf where it will collect dust (but at least you have it).
|
|
| Snoozer | A
solid track or two and some redeeming qualities; however, the bulk of
it is likely boring and uninspired. |
|
| Average | Several
good tracks with plenty of filler. Certainly has potential to be better
but you'll probably not be embarrassed to have it in your collection. |
|
| Killer | Maybe
one or two weak tracks on the entire album but overall, outstanding. You
will probably play this one a lot over a span of many years. |
|
| Masterpiece |
Not a single negative aspect. Even bad artwork could not detract from
it's obvious greatness. This is likely one of those albums you will listen
to hundreds of times in your lifetime and never tire of it. |
