Excellent San Diego based, late 80s early 90s hair band with a dark side. Bang Tango kind of started their career backwards; their first offering was a song for the Black Roses soundtrack, followed by a various artists compilation track. Their debut CD was a six track live CD. The band finally recorded their first full-length studio album in 1980 and has continued to release albums (including more live ones) through the 90s.
Probably their best overall effort was '91s 'Dancin' on Coals'. The album cover would make one believe it's an Evanescence album cover, when in fact, the band was a little ahead of their time, at least as far as album art goes. Their latest offering is the solid 'Ready to Go' in 2004.
