Benedictum is a San Diego-based Heavy Metal band, which features the uncompromising vocal talents of one Veronica Freeman. Veronica has been billed as the female version of Ronnie James Dio. After listening to their debut CD, 'Uncreation', that is probably not far from the truth. The CD contains two Dio era Sabbath covers; "Heaven and Hell" and "The Mob Rules". Both of these covers are amazing since the band puts their own twist (a much updated sound) to the songs with Veronica belting out the vocals in the same fashion that RJD himself did. Believe it or not, these are not the highlight of the album (although a nice add) since the original songs by the band are outstanding works on their own.

If you liked Dio and are looking for something with a Heavy Metal '80s feel but with better production, check this album out. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. Veronica is easy on the eyes too, as you can see in the pics below.
