I am going to be completely forthcoming and tell you that I really don't know much about Erika (Norberg). I do know that she is Yngwie Malmsteen's (neo-classical metal guitar Virtuoso) ex-wife and that Yngwie played on a couple of her CD's. I also know she is a Swedish born singer who has an infectious voice.
She started out with an AOR sound, then with her last two albums has turned it into a more modern rock sound. She has a total of five albums to her credit. Lady Luck is probably the best of her first three AOR/Pop releases. The last two releases were a total departure from her original sound. Planet X has a catchy, hook-filled up-tempo sound. Ripe steps even further from her original sound; filled with walls of heavy guitar chords and solid hooks.
I just don't understand how she never made mention in the States. The music is better then 90% of the AOR music that came out stateside. She was obviously quite popular in Europe and Japan. In my opinion she is defiantly one of the Queens of AOR. I'm afraid that is all I have to offer about this Swedish beauty.
