Planet X is a complete departure from her AOR pop/rock sound. I know a lot of Erika fans see this as a complete sellout and didn't like this album at all. I actually like this album every bit as much as Lady Luck, as different as they are. This CD has a super upbeat tempo. The music and lyrics are very basic but you can't help but get caught up in the infectious groove of the songs. Erika uses her provocative voice to give these songs a sense of sexual urgency, proving that she hasn't lost her touch.
