God Forbid is a Crushing Death Metal band hailing from the USA. Gone Forever, their latest effort, is a relentless assault of guitars and insane screaming vocals and the drumming on this album would have made John Bonham smile. Despite that, the album sounds sleek and sophisticated. When they put it out, the members of the band said that they were never so proud of an album. One of the highlights of this band is the song 'Force Fed', which is a brutal display of power and energy. God Forbid played on the Ozzfest tour in 2004 and have proven that they have what it takes to survive in the Metal genre. Their live performances are crisp and dead-on. What really drives them is that people doubt their ability and they love to prove them wrong. They contributed a song to Dimebag Darrell of Pantera, may he rest in peace, but say that it became more for anybody who has ever lost a loved one or role model before. They've beaten down a few contenders already, but they still gotta kill for the top.
