In the late 80s I used to frequent record shows to buy vinyl LPs. One of the LPs I bought back then was a single to the Lisa Dominique song, 'Jealous Heart.' I still have that vinyl 12" single and would have included it on this page, except it had some pops and crackles in it. As far as I know, the 'Jealous Heart' single was never released on CD, and the only items I know for sure that made it to CD are the ones listed above. 'Jealous Heart' can be found on the Rock & Roll Lady CD.
As for Lisa, I know she was a poster/pin-up girl in the U.K. back in the late 80s, who decided to become a pop singer. Well, she never made it to pop sensation status, mostly because she wasn't the greatest singer in the world (but she looked good.) However, the song writing and music on her albums is pretty decent. I don't want you to get the wrong impression about Lisa's voice, she is not a horrible singer, just not a great one that stands out. She did have a knack for writing catchy songs that get your attention. Her brother Marino played guitar on all of her music throughout her career. He also co-wrote some of the songs and has solo albums to his credit. Her best work appears on Gypsy Ryder.
Somewhere during Lisa's travels, she met and married a wealthy Los Angeles lawyer who owns Vampire Vinyards, a small wine operation in California. Apparently Lisa became the poster girl for Vampire Wines, going back to her model roots but she also put out a self-produced, 20 track album called Vampire Love. Most likely she was itching to put out some tunes and what a better way to promote her husbands wine vinyard.
