Robert Plant is one of the greatest voices in rock history. His journey started in the mid to late 60s; playing in bands from his hometown in Birmingham, England. Jimmy Page of Yardbirds fame ran across Robert and snagged him up to front the New Yardbirds. Thank god they decided to use a different name and thus, Led Zeppelin was born. Robert fronted Zeppelin until the untimely death of his best friend and Zep drummer John Bonham.

Upon the demise of the mighty Zeppelin, Robert went on to have a very successful solo career; working with the likes of Phil Collins, Cozy Powell, and many more. Robert also took time to get back with his old band mate Jimmy Page for a few albums that never really got much attention. Robert continues to put out albums today.
