Silentium is an incredible Gothic/Doom Metal band out of Finland, which rose from the ashes of the the Death Metal band Funeral. The band incorporates the use of female vocals by Riina and male backing vocals by Sami. The voices are backed by violins, walls of guitars, and a healthy helping of steady bass lines. Their earlier stuff certainly leaned towards Doom and consisted of two demos. Their debut CD 'Infinita Plango
Vulnera' was the Spikefarm Label's first release.

Their latest album, 'Seducia', is certainly aiming to take advantage of the success of such bands such as Within Temptation and Leaves' Eyes utilizing more instruments to create an atmospheric Gothic sound. 'Seducia' is absolutely fantastic and presents a slightly more melodic feel; it's a great listen from start to finish.
