WOW! Who are these guys and where did they come from? The Sword is a new Stoner/Doom band that combines bombastic, super-heavy guitar riffs with an old-style '70s stoner rock sound. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy this CD. It's hard to pick a few bands that are similar, as I think The Sword combines the best of all these bands, but here are a few anyway: Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, The Obsessed, Goatsnake, Sloth, Sally, and Alabama Thunderpussy to name a few.
