Ronnie James Dio, that name is synonymous with Metal. Ronnie fronted some of the most famous Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands in history, such as Rainbow and Black Sabbath and in 1983, formed his very successful solo band, DIO. What else could one man possibly do? How about support a cause such as famine relief by assembling a star-studded line-up of over 30 top Metal musicians and vocalists? Hear 'N Aid captured the hearts of all Metal fans by doing what just didn't seem possible. The resulting song, Stars, is a fantastic accomplishment and an outstanding song. The remainder of the CD is a compilation of rare offerings by some of the participants' bands; creating one hell of a rockin' Various Artists album.
