The German based Warlock was the first band Doro Pesch (Dorothy Pesch) fronted that enjoyed success and recorded for a major label. Her stinging vocals matched those of her contemporary male colleges on tracks like 'Burning the Witches', and 'Without You,' on their debut album, Burning the Witches. Each album continued to show better song writing and studio production. Their last studio album, Triumph and Agony, was their defining moment. Songs like 'All We Are,' 'I Rule the Ruins,' and 'Fur Immer' fill this album with solid material that deserved far more attention then it received.

The Live performance on Live in London is absolutely astonishing. Her angelic vibrato vocal blend, mixed with staggering guitars and blistering solos proved that Warlock could produce on stage as well as the studio. If you listen to their music, I think you will agree that they were one of the premier metal bands of the mid-eighties.

Although Warlock only had limited success in the United States, they enjoyed an incredible following in Europe. After the release of Triumph and Agony, Doro decided to part ways with the boys in Warlock and formed a new band with the moniker, DORO. She established an incredible following as a solo artist in Europe and still releases new material to this day.
